The Vancouver Olympic/Paralympic Centre is a social center and curling rink located in Hillcrest Park in Vancouver, British Columbia. Construction began in March 2007, and in 2009 it hosted the Junior Curling World Championship, although parts of the building were still under construction. During the Olympics, it had a capacity of 6,000 spectators and hosted curling and wheelchair curling competitions during the Paralympics. After the Olympic and Paralympic Games, the Vancouver Olympic Centre will be converted into a multi-purpose facility, including an ice hockey rink, gymnasium, library, 8 curling rinks, and other smaller uses.
