Technical Safety BC

Technical Safety BC is an independent and self-funded organization responsible for ensuring the safe installation and operation of technical systems and equipment in British Columbia, Canada. Our main objective is to reduce safety risks by working closely with industry stakeholders. We issue permits, licences, and certificates, and provide assessment, education, outreach, enforcement, and research services. Our safety services cover a wide range of technologies including electrical equipment and systems, boilers, pressure vessels, refrigeration systems, natural gas and propane appliances, elevating devices, railways, passenger ropeways, and amusement devices.
