Paese is a neighborhood restaurant that has been serving Italian-inspired cuisine with a Canadian twist for the past 20 years. With two locations, each Paese offers its own unique atmosphere, menu, and experience. The restaurants emphasize pairings of wine to food and food to place, with a multi-region wine list that is reasonably priced. The original location in Toronto's bustling theatre/King West district features a heated patio, a bar with food service, and a dining room. The dining room has a warm and inviting atmosphere with exposed brick and butcher block tables. Wine lovers will appreciate the extensive 500 label wine list and the services of two sommeliers. Paese offers a contemporary setting for Italian cuisine made from local ingredients, with a focus on housemade pasta, whole fish, stuffed olives, and meatballs. The wine list includes over 600 labels, priced at LCBO prices plus a $25 mark-up. There is no corkage fee Sunday-Friday.
