Business Description
Operanation is a highly anticipated event that celebrates the arts and opera. It combines various art forms and musical styles to create an innovative and accessible experience. The event features live performances by the COC's Ensemble Studio and a contemporary popular musical artist. Operanation is not only a party but also a community-oriented initiative, with all proceeds going towards the COC's Ensemble Studio, which trains young Canadian opera artists. The Studio artists also perform at schools and community centers, providing positive artistic experiences for children and youths. Over the past 10 years, more than 150,000 children and youths have experienced opera through the Ensemble Studio School Tour. Additionally, over 90% of Ensemble Studio graduates have successful careers in opera and theater. The Canadian Opera Company presents Operanation annually as a fundraising event.
