Ismaili Centre

The Ismaili Centres are unique architectural buildings that serve as symbolic markers of the Ismaili community's presence in different regions. They incorporate spaces for social and cultural gatherings, intellectual engagement, and spiritual contemplation. The Centres promote cultural, educational, and social programs from a non-denominational perspective within the ethical framework of Islam. They aim to foster mutual understanding and appreciation of pluralism among diverse communities and faiths. Several Ismaili Centres have been established in London, Burnaby, Lisbon, and Dubai, with plans for future Centres in Toronto, Houston, Los Angeles, and Paris. The Ismaili Centre in Toronto, designed by architect Charles Correa, will feature a Jamatkhana and spaces for intellectual engagement, social and cultural gatherings, and programming to engage the community and the wider public in dialogue and bridge-building.
