G Gallery is an exhibition and project space that was established in 2009 under the collaborative direction of John Goodwin and the School of Fine Art and Music (SOFAM) at the University of Guelph. Located in the former goodwater gallery in Toronto, G was created as an opportunity for artistic exploration and connection between the university's pedagogical mandate and the collaborative projects at Goodwater. In its second year, G is now overseen by a collective of recent Guelph alumni, with support from a small advisory committee of current faculty, and continues to present a diverse program of exhibitions and events. Additionally, G has launched sidecentre.com, a web project that serves as an archive and portal to the gallery's activities, featuring artist writings, sounds, visuals, and internet situationalist-isms. G Gallery and sidecentre.com are generously supported by the College of Arts and SOFAM at the University of Guelph.
