Curateur public du Québec

The Curateur public du Québec ensures the protection of incapacitated individuals by raising awareness of the need for protection arising from incapacity. They also provide support to families and loved ones who represent an incapacitated person, administer their assets, or participate in a guardianship council. The Curateur public ensures that decisions are made in the best interest of the represented person, respecting their rights and preserving their autonomy. Ultimately, they act as a curator or guardian themselves. The Curateur public also safeguards the autonomy and rights of incapacitated individuals and protects the assets of minor children.
