Communion Restaurant + Bar, formerly known as Les Gourmets Pressés, was established in the spring of 2011. It started as a gourmet caterer for business clientele, offering balanced and seasonal meals based on the chef's inspiration. However, Communion now offers a new concept of shared plates to promote exchange and conviviality among its customers.
Frédérick Garant, the owner and a young entrepreneur, embarked on this venture in 2003 after graduating from the Quebec Institute of Tourism and Hospitality and gaining experience in various restaurants and bars. He initially opened Le Bistro on St Jacques Street and later expanded to open a café in the heart of the International District, recognizing the potential of his fast and flavorful dining concept.
Communion Restaurant + Bar offers a range of features and services, including seasonal contemporary cuisine, a gastropub and bar menu, weekend brunch on Saturdays and Sundays, an extensive selection of wines by the glass, a friendly in-house sommelier, wine tastings, a large terrace, oysters, private dining options, group accommodations, and the opportunity to watch Habs games on TV.
With its contemporary fresh market cuisine, well-stocked bar, excellent wine selection, stunning terrace in Old Montreal, and delightful brunch offerings, Communion Restaurant + Bar aims to provide a memorable dining experience.
