Beit Zatoun

Beit Zatoun, also known as "House of Olive," was a gallery and performance space in Toronto that aimed to raise awareness and promote understanding for justice and human rights issues. It hosted various events such as exhibits, talks, screenings, plays, music, dance, and workshops, serving as a resource center for the community. While the focus was on the Israel/Palestine conflict, Beit Zatoun welcomed all communities fighting against oppression and advocating for individual rights. Although the physical space closed in 2016 due to gentrification, Zatoun products are still available for purchase online. Over the course of seven years, Beit Zatoun organized over 1000 events, establishing itself as a cultural and activism center in Toronto. It now continues its mission as an online community service space.
